Safety is a basic human need that everybody must have. People want to have safety at their workplace, safety at home and safety in public. At work it is essential for managers to have safety standards that are acceptable, if there are any work place injuries this can result in an organization being sued or a serious workplace injury can even result in the death of a worker. Managers must make sure that necessary steps are taken to minimize or eliminate the possibility of any injury.

It will improve the work being done

If the working conditions are safe then workers will concentrate more on the work which means that their performance will improve. If workers are worried about being injured then they will not care if they do the job properly, all they will want to do is to finish the work as quick as possible and go home. Commercial electrical contractors must make sure that their workers are as safe as possible when carrying out the work. They should provide them with the proper equipment and safety gear so that they can’t get hurt and this will allow them to do their job properly.

When workers are doing data cable installation they must make sure that they cut off the power source before they start doing the work. They must make sure that they treat all the electrical devices like they are on and energized. Also they should use tools with non-conducting handles when they are working on devices that are electrical.

It will cut costs

If a worker gets hurt on the job then this can cost a company a lot of money. If the worker was hurt due to the negligence of the manager then he will have the right to sue the organization and this can result in the organization losing a lot of money as well as getting a bad name. If a worker gets injured then the organization will lose money because there will be a loss in productivity.

Not only will there be a loss in productivity by the injured worker but by the others as well, they will stop there work to help the injured employee and they maybe too distracted to work after an accident. Manages will have to find a new employee to replace the injured worker and this will increase training and recruitment costs. The new employee may take time to get used to the job and may carry out the work slowly which means that there will be a loss in productivity.
